Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
The LIHEAP program provides qualifying low-income families with financial assistance for electric bill payments. Payments of up to $900 per year are available, depending on income and eligibility, and are made directly to FPL in Broward County. Be aware that processing of eligible LIHEAP applications may take up to 45 days. PLEASE NOTE: The application period for LIHEAP in Broward County is currently CLOSED and tentatively scheduled to reopen in December 2017.
