BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Libraries will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at various special events held during the weeks surrounding the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
King was an American clergyman, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience, and is now one of the most important figure in the civil rights struggle. In celebration, Broward County Library will host the following events:
