BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Today at 5PM, the exit ramp (Ramp "G") opens from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to US 1 southbound. The new ramp leads drivers to the intersection of NE 10th Street and US 1 where they turn left to head south on US 1. Motorists will be given the option to continue west to Griffin Road and I-95 or they may turn right and head north on US 1.

Construction crews also installed street lighting and directional signs along the route.

Two variable message signs (VMS) have been installed directing US-1 Southbound traffic to use Ramp G.  Additionally, there will be a VMS board at the curve of 7th to 10th directing traffic to continue to the right for US-1.

Before the ramp opened, drivers had to travel north on US 1, then make a U-turn to head south on US 1.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is a service of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
