Have You Voted? Early Voting Now Underway In Broward

-Broward Canvassing Board begins work inspecting ballots-

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Canvassing Board has begun its work inspecting early voting ballots that have already arrived for the primary election on August 18th

The early mail-in ballots are being checked to make sure that they are filled out accurately and without obvious error.  Some people forget to sign their ballot, others casts more than one vote for the same political race, in some cases the wrong pen is used and will seep through to a political choice on the back of the ballot. On one ballot, a voter had checked every candidate in every race.

Members of the 2020 Canvassing Board are Broward Judge Daniel J. Kanner, (Chair), Broward Supervisor of Elections Peter Antonacci and Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine. Alternates are also chosen and used if necessary.

“We are going through the mailed in ballots to make sure they are in order, that they have been properly filled out and that every ballot is being appropriately tabulated and recorded for proper, fair and accurate election totals,” says Udine.

Early voting is now underway in Broward County. Early voting continues through Sunday, August 16th.  Early voting locations can be found countywide here.  During early voting, you may vote at any location.  Early voting hours are Monday-Friday at 11AM-7PM and on Saturday (08/15) and Sunday (08/16) voting hours are 9AM-5PM.  Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing will be required.  Voting areas will be sanitized.
