BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The International Cricket Council (ICC) has
chosen the Broward County Stadium as one of three United States venues where
the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Cricket games will be played in 2024. This is the
first time the World Cup will be held in the United States. Cricket has the second largest fan base in the world, with an estimated one billion followers. A formal announcement will be made on Monday, October 2 at Central Broward
Park & Broward County Stadium.

More than 20 teams will compete and be divided into four
groups of five each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next
round, much like what is done in World Cup soccer.
The
other two sites to host next year's tournament will be Eisenhower Park in
Nassau County, New York and Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
