BROWARD COUNTY, FL - In response to the incident on January 6, 2017 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) requested the activation of the Florida Virtual Business Emergency Operations Center (FLVBEOC) business damage surveying tool. The survey will assist the state in assessing the economic impact the FLL incident is having on local businesses in and near the airport.

All affected businesses are asked to complete an online Business Damage Assessment Survey.  To access the survey, visit
FLVBEOC.org. Participants should select "Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport" event. The survey is also available in Creole and Spanish.

Survey results will be used to help determine the need for the state to pursue a Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Declaration.  The results may also be shared with various federal, state and local agencies to identify other appropriate programs and resources.

The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development has taken the lead in coordinating local business outreach efforts.
For more information on this survey, contact Herb Parlato, Economic Development Specialist, at 954-357-6400 or visit us online.
