Animal Care and Florida Panthers Team Up for Homeless Pets

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – It’s hot outside, so why not cool off for a good cause at a one-of-a-kind “Paws and Claws” special adoption event, from 10 a.m. to 3p.m., Saturday,May 3, as part of the Florida Panthers Fourth Annual South Florida Hockeyfest, held at the Panthers IceDen, located at 3299 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs

The special adoption extravaganza, hosted by Broward County Animal Care and Adoption and the Florida Panthers organization, will feature dogs and cats in need of a forever home. Special appearances by the Florida Panthers players, as well as the Lady Panthers, will be made. In addition, a special exhibition by national champion figure skaters will also be held during the event. 

The event at the IceDen, the official practice facility for the Florida Panthers, is free and open to the public. Adoption fees will be two cats for $20 and $25 for each dog. The adoption fees include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, Broward County rabies registration tag and microchip — a value of more than $200.
