WHAT: BROWARD COUNTY, FL – On Monday, October 20th, the tennis center at C.B. Smith Park, under new management by GSI Tennis Academies, a veteran tennis operations company with a dozen years of experience managing facilities at locations in Miami Beach, launches its new programs for all ages and all skill levels. After-school programs begin with classes for children as young as 4 and 5, all the way up to 15-year-old intermediate and advanced-intermediate players. Adult programs (for ages 16 and up) range from beginner to intermediate to advanced. And pro training, offered in conjunction with Kozlov Tennis, provides specialized training for highly motivated and gifted athletes between 11 and 18 who have college and/or pro aspirations. Space is limited and applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

HOW: Fees vary by program. Preregistration is required. The park’s regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect.

Founded in February 1956 and accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies, Broward County Parks and Recreation Division manages almost 6,500 acres, encompassing nearly 50 regional parks and nature centers, neighborhood parks, and natural areas at various stages of development.
