BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Join the celebration of the 34th Annual National Travel and Tourism Week Events from May 8-12 at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The events are open to all passengers, public, and airport employees in pre-security areas.

What:    34th Annual National Travel and Tourism Week

Where:  Monday, May 8 - Terminal 4 Upper level (2-4PM)
              Tuesday, May 9 - Terminal 3 Lower level (1-3PM)                              
              Thursday, May 11 - Terminal 1 Lower level (1-3PM)
              Friday, May 12 - Terminal 2 Lower level (9-11AM)

The events will feature:

• Refreshments
• Music

FLL contributes to the local travel and tourism industry with over 139,000 direct and indirect jobs, with a total payroll of $3,856,536,000, and a total output of $13,205,571,000 according to a 2014 FDOT study.

Theme: We're shining the spotlight on the people behind our nation's travel industry with this year's theme: "Faces of Travel."

National Travel and Tourism Week, which will take place this year May 7-13, is an annual tradition for the U.S. travel community, established by a congressional resolution in 1983 and first observed the following year. It's a time when travel and tourism professionals across the country unite to celebrate the unique value travel holds for our economy, businesses and personal well-being.
