Broward County Names Cultural Acting Director
  
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Public Art & Design Administrator Leslie Fordham has been named the Acting Director of Broward County Cultural Division. 

A dedicated and passionate advocate for the arts, Fordham has worked in public art since 2000 and joined the County as Public Art & Design Administrator for Broward Cultural Division in 2010. As Acting Director, Fordham looks forward to working with the community, Broward County Board of County Commissioners and the Broward Cultural Council. 

Coming to Broward from Lancaster, PA, Fordham facilitated the establishment of the first public art program for the City and previously worked as the Art in Public Places Coordinator for the Town of Vail, CO. Fordham holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and has a Master of Arts in Information Management from the University of West London. 

Today, Fordham oversees a collection of more than 250 public artworks and the commissioning of 30 new projects, including installations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades. During her tenure as Acting Director, Fordham is eager to lead the Cultural Division in the creation of new alliances within Broward County’s greater arts community.
