Broward County Commission Welcomes the World to FITCE 2018
  
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FLBroward County Commissioners welcomed former presidents, international Consul Generals, foreign trade experts, international delegations and business influencers from all over the world as the fourth annual Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo (FITCE) gets underway at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.  The Expo continues through Thursday.  

 

Broward Mayor Beam Furr kicked off the opening ceremony welcoming representatives from 54 countries participating in the two-day trade expo. 

 

Commissioner Dale V.C. Holness was the official Master of Ceremonies at the World leaders & Former Presidents Panel: Opening Horizons to New Market Opportunities. Commissioner Michael Udine welcomed the former President of Panama, Nicolas Ardito Barletta Vallarino and former President of Guatemala, Vinicio Cerezo as well as international panelists participating in a group discussion of the vast trade opportunities in Latin America. 

 

Broward Commissioner Chip LaMarca presided over the informative panel discussion of “How to Bring Your Business to the USA.” Commissioner Steve Geller represented Broward County as panelists discussed “Doing Business with the World-Europe and the world. The international discussion featured trade representatives from Israel, United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, Macedonia, France, Romania/Hungary, Italy and Montenegro.  

 

Broward Commissioner, Dr. Barbara Sharief, will kick-off the opening FITCE ceremonies on Thursday, October 18th as day two of FITCE continues with international government representatives, consulates, trade commissioners, bi-national chambers and foreign trade experts continue panel discussions about top trade opportunities for those wishing to do international business.

 

Broward Commissioner Tim Ryan will welcome those attending the Opening Presidential Network Reception & Cultural Experience and Commissioner Holness will bring the event to a close at a special reception and cultural exchange.
