- Host of student performers spread holiday cheer -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – A popular musical tradition returns to Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) this holiday season, in partnership with Broward County Public Schools (BCPS).

The 31st Winter Festival of Music will run from Monday, December 10th through Friday, December 14th, 2018 from 9AM-Noon and on Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 2-5PM in select locations across the airport’s four terminals and Rental Car Center.

The 2018 music festival will feature approximately 1,400 student musicians from nearly 30 Broward County elementary, middle and high schools in a variety of performances throughout the week. The diverse student talent showcase will include bands, orchestras, choirs, roaming carolers and dancers.

"It is always a special treat and privilege to partner with Broward County Public Schools to provide a platform for these young performers to share their talent and enthusiasm with airport guests," said Mark E. Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation. “We hope the Winter Festival of Music will spread some cheer and joy to everyone during the weeklong festivities.”

The annual music festival not only celebrates and supports local student musicians but helps to make travel more enjoyable and festive for passengers during the busy holiday season. Many travelers often participate by singing along and dancing with the students and in turn, share their experiences with us on Twitter and Facebook.
