Get Ready for Special Olympics Little ELITES!

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Parks and Recreation Division's Special Populations Section and Special Olympics Florida will collaborate to offer Little ELITES, a developmental sports program for youths ages 6 to 12 with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Sessions will be on Fridays, from 6 to 7PM, starting April 22nd and running through May 27th, on Field #3 at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium (3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill 33311; 953-357-5400).

The program will focus on developing sport-specific skills for athletics, specifically track and field, while encouraging peer cooperation and socialization. Consistent attendance is required, as each week participants will learn new techniques that will build on skills they learned in the prior week's class. The classes are free, but limited spaces are available and preregistration is required by calling 954-357-8170 or emailing SpecialPopulations@Broward.org
