BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Animal Care Division is making adoption easy with its Pet-in-a-Box promotion where every adult adoption comes with a crate, free food and a voucher for first-year vaccines and preventative medications. All vouchers will be valued up to $300. The special event runs from May 1 to May 15, 2023, in conjunction with the BISSELL Pet Foundation's spring "Empty the Shelters" campaign.

"We don't want anyone to miss out on the love that pets can bring," said Emily Wood, Animal Care Director. "We want to give some of our animals a second chance at a happy life."

Since the 2016 inception of BISSELL Pet Foundation's "Empty the Shelters," more than 140,000 pets in 49 states and Canada have been adopted. BISSELL Pet Foundation is a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness.

Broward County Animal Care is located at 2400 SW 42nd Street, Fort Lauderdale. Adopters can visit Broward.org/Animal to preview all available pets. Each adoptable dog and cat is spayed/neutered; vaccinated and microchipped. Adoption fees are also waived, and a Broward County license tag is included. Animal Care is open daily from 11AM to 5:30PM for adoptions.
