Have a Not-so-Scary Halloween at Animal Care

- Trick-or-Treat your way to a new pet -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL -- Howl-o-ween is just around the corner and Broward County Animal Care is hosting a free adoption event to help you find your newest FURmily member! The event will be held on Tuesday, October 31 at Broward County Animal Care, 2400 SW 42nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale, from 11AM to 5:30PM.

Attendees can interact with Animal Care's nearly 200 shelter pets and hopefully leave with one of them. There will be prize giveaways and special treats for kids who arrive in costume. The shelter dogs and cats will also be dressed up in family-friendly costumes. From now until October 31, Animal Care is providing free costumes for your pets when you donate cat or dog food. The costumes are courtesy of Chewy and will be available while supplies last.

"We encourage families to come out and enjoy Halloween in a safe space with lots of loveable animals that are all available for adoption," said Emily Wood, Director of Broward County Animal Care.

All adoption fees are waived and include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, a microchip and pet license.

Adopters can visit Broward.org/Animal to preview all available pets.
