BROWARD COUNTY, FL  – Celebrate the freedom to read what you want, when you want during Banned Books Week. Slated for September 21st through September 27th,  Banned Book Week began in 1982 as a campaign to raise awareness of banned and challenged books and celebrate intellectual choice. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community - librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types - in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.
