BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Solid Waste and Recycling Services reminds Weston residents and residents of participating cities, that they have the opportunity this Sunday, February 8th, to properly dispose of household hazardous waste and electronics.

This program helps keep potentially toxic materials out of the environment. Residents may drop off items such as leftover paint, pesticides, drain cleaners and auto fluids, as well as electronics like old TVs, computers, rechargeable batteries, DVD and VCR players, for free. Items dropped off are recycled, refurbished, or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. See a
complete list of items that may be dropped off.

The event takes place from 8 AM to 3 PM at the Public Works Complex, 2599 S. Post Road in Weston. Proof of residency in a participating city is required.

Visit here for the complete list of hazardous waste and electronics drop-offs planned throughout the County in 2015.

In addition, permanent Residential Drop-Off Centers are open every Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM.
