Broward County Transit New Service Improvements Effective Sunday, July 5th

Broward County, FL - The latest service improvements on Broward County Transit (BCT) on Route 36 and several Community bus routes will take effect on Sunday, July 5, 2015.
 
Highlights are increased frequency of service to Route 36 and a brand new route for the City of Hallandale Beach, operating seven days a week.

BCT analyzes customer feedback and usage to make improvements on routes three to four times each year in efforts to improve on-time performance, reduce customer wait times and help relieve overcrowding on some of the busiest bus routes.

Here are the service improvement details:


BCT Route 36

Service frequency will increase on weekdays to every 20 minutes from 5AM until 6:30PM on westbound trips and from 6AM until 7PM on eastbound trips; on Saturdays the bus will arrive every 20 minutes from 11:50AM until 5:50PM on eastbound trips and from 10AM until 7PM on westbound trips; and on Sundays service will run every 30 minutes all day.

Community Bus Service
  • City of Coconut Creek (Weekdays and Saturdays): The 'S' Route (South) will have an additional trip at 6:27PM added from Government Center Complex to Lyons Road and Wynmoor. The Publix stop at Landings Plaza is eliminated from the 3PM and 4PM trips. The 'N' Route (North) will have an additional trip at 5PM from Copans Road and Northwest 42nd Avenue.
  • City of Hallandale Beach (Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays): Route 4 is brand new and operating daily.
  • City of Margate (Weekdays and Saturdays): On weekdays only, Routes A, C, and D schedules are adjusted. On Saturdays only, Route As schedules are adjusted.
  • City of Miramar (Weekdays): The Orange Route will now serve Southwest 145th Avenue (FBI Complex).
