Nature Center Launches New Year With Photography Exhibit

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – For more than a decade, the exhibit hall at Anne Kolb Nature Center (751 Sheridan St., Hollywood 33019; 954-357-5161) has been establishing itself as a consistent alternative venue for art. Free monthly Gallery Exhibits feature work that is often inspired by nature in South Florida and elsewhere, as well as other kinds of art. The January show, “Wonders of Nature,” opens on Saturday the 4th and runs through Thursday the 30th.

The show features nature photography by Carol Marinas, who holds a doctorate in mathematics from Florida State and has been a math professor at Barry University in Miami Shores for more than three decades. On the side, however, she nurtures her love of photography, most recently digital photography, which she studies through classes and webinars. She is a regular participant in gallery shows and has won multiple awards in competition.

Exhibit hall hours are 9AM to 5PM daily. For more information, call Anne Kolb at 954-357-5161.
