Make Some Music

- Virtual program is for youth with developmental disabilities -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Teens and young adults between the ages of 13 and 30 with developmental disabilities are invited to express themselves through music by participating in Virtual Musical Expressions, a program through the Parks and Recreation Division’s Special Populations Section. The program will be offered on Mondays, from 5 to 5:45PM, starting on June 14th and ending on August 2nd.

Program participants will focus on learning rhythmic patterns with different percussion instruments, gaining confidence, cooperating with peers, and having fun. Consistent attendance is required, as each week participants will learn new techniques that will build on skills learned in the prior week’s class. Zoom meeting ID and password will be provided to registered participants only.

The program is free, but class size is limited, and preregistration is required by calling Special Populations at 954-357-8170 or emailing SpecialPopulations@Broward.org.
