BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The County's Water Management Division is coordinating the installation of an underground water recharge line. The pipe will be installed under Military Trail and the railroad tracks along the north side of Sample Road in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach. The project is scheduled to start on Tuesday, November 9th, with completion anticipated in June 2022.

PROJECT LIMITS: Southeast corner of Crystal Lake and Southwest corner of Bonnie Loch Lake in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach (see attached map).

TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

  • Westbound Sample Road near Crystal Plaza - occasional lane closures on Tuesday, November 9th
  • Crystal Plaza parking - Spaces along the south side of the Plaza will be intermittently blocked during construction
  • Driveways, sidewalks, and side-streets - Access to the Crystal Plaza will be maintained. Plaza's driveway on Sample Road (near the railroad tracks) will be periodically closed and a notification will be distributed preceding driveway closures
