Soccer the Fun Way

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Special Populations Section of Broward County Parks will introduce Mega Soccer, for ages 13 to 25 with developmental disabilities, on Thursdays, June 16th through July 28th, from 5 to 6PM. The program will be at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium (3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill 33311; 954.357.5400).

Participants will use hands to play soccer with a 12-foot ball on a soccer field. The program will emphasize hand-eye coordination, motor skills, grasping, problem solving, balance, and even language and social skills. Space is limited and reservations are required by contacting SpecialPopulations@Broward.org, 954.357.8170/8160.

Adherence to CDC guidelines for social distancing, hand sanitizing, and wearing facial coverings is recommended.
