BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Highway Construction and Engineering Division will perform road improvements along NW 87th Avenue between Wiles Road and NW 44th Court in Coral Springs. This work is expected to start on March 6 and conclude on May 4, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays. The work is funded by the gas tax and grants from the Florida Department of Transportation.
Project Overview:
- Wiles Road will be transformed from a 4-lane to a 6-lane divided roadway
- A new stormwater management system will be installed
- Signalization improvements will be done throughout the corridor
- New lighting conduit and conductors will be installed
- A new landscape and irrigation system will be added
Traffic:
NW 87th Avenue will be closed between Wiles Road and NW 44th Court during construction. All eastbound and westbound traffic will be detoured. (See attached map).
