BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be performing repairs on the West Atlantic Boulevard bridge in Margate. The project, funded by the gas tax, will address structural issues identified in the most recent Florida Department of Transportation bridge inspection report. Work begins on December 4, 2023, and will conclude in February 2024, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.
Construction will require a single outside lane closure in both the eastbound and westbound lanes between 9 AM and 4 PM. Access to driveways and sidewalks will remain open. Variable message signs will be posted to advise affected motorists and pedestrians.
