BROWARD COUNTY, FL
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) has reopened but many commercial flights are delayed or canceled on Saturday. Terminal 2 remains closed until further notice. Passengers are strongly encouraged to check with their airline before leaving for the airport. If you are flying in or out of Fort Lauderdale with connections to a cruise leaving from Port Everglades, check with your cruise line.

The Airport has collected and secured luggage and personal items left behind in terminals 1, 3 and 4 following yesterday's incident in Terminal 2, and will be sorting it to ensure items can be returned to their rightful owners. There are more than 20,000 items, so this process is taking some time.

Officials said they expect more information today as to how passengers can reclaim their belongings. Terminal 2 was released by the FBI this morning, and the baggage collection process is ongoing.

Vehicles that were left in airport roadways have been towed and can be reclaimed at Mac's Towing, 418 SW 2nd Place, Dania Beach, FL 33004, 954-923-8218. There is no charge to reclaim your vehicle.

The airlines and TSA are working with passengers who are attempting to fly out today, who have not yet reclaimed their personal belongings and may not have identification. Please arrive at the airport at least one hour earlier than normal to facilitate this process.

Approximately 20 passengers remain at Port Everglades Terminal 4, where the County and American Red Cross continue to provide shelter and assistance with transportation. Initially, approximately 5,000 passengers were transported by bus to the Port terminal. Most have since left or been transported back to FLL, Palm Beach International or Miami International airports.

For questions related to flight schedules, passengers should contact their carrier. For other incident-related questions, call the Broward County Call Center at 866-435-9355. The Call Center has taken over 4,000 calls since Friday afternoon.
