BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - Broward County Human Rights Section, HOPE, Inc. and the Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division will sponsor a Fair Housing Symposium  “Answering the Call” on Friday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Signature Grand located at 2900 State Road 84, Davie.

The housing symposium will address emerging issues and laws surrounding fair housing in Broward County. Workshop topics will include: Assistance Animals, Consumer Loans, Housing Segregation, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Amendments and Notification Requirements by Housing Providers.
 
The keynote speaker will be Cardell Cooper, executive director of the National Community Development Association, and former Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development/U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Broward County residents, homeowners’ and condominium association representatives, housing providers, realtors, social workers and members of community organizations, and attorneys are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is required. This free event includes workshops and lunch.
