BROWARD COUNTY, FL -  The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will begin nighttime resurfacing of Copans Road in Pompano Beach on March 1st. The project will be completed by April 24, 2015, barring unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

PROJECT LIMITS: Copans Road between NW 3rd Avenue and Federal Highway (US 1), Pompano Beach.

DESCRIPTION: Milling, resurfacing and restriping. The project also includes adding a bike lane on both sides of Copans Road.

WHEN: Start Date: March 1, 2015
             Completion Date: On or before April 24, 2015
             6PM to 6AM

TRAFFIC:  To minimize construction impacts to nearby schools and businesses, the majority of the work will be accomplished during the nighttime hours of 6PM and 6AM, with one lane of traffic open in each direction. All travel lanes will remain open during the morning and evening traffic peak hours. Sidewalks will be accessible to pedestrians at all times during construction.
