BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Mosquito Control Section will spray for mosquitoes in the southwest part of Broward County on Thursday, September 10, weather permitting. This area will include all of Weston.
The aerial spraying will be conducted between 4 AM and 6:30 AM. Residents with breathing difficulties should remain indoors. Persons living in the area who have registered with the State to be alerted to spraying have been notified.
The area to be sprayed includes I-75 to the north, Griffin Road to the south, Weston Road to the east and US 27 to the west.
Seasonal rains, normally associated with the summer months, have contributed to the increase in mosquitoes.
Broward County Mosquito Control Section sprays areas of the County by truck and plane, based on requests received from residents.
