BROWARD COUNTY, FL – For many years, savvy home landscapers have looked to Broward County Parks for guidance on what to put into the ground and what to do with it once it’s planted. Whenever possible, we emphasize the importance of plants native to South Florida for use in home landscape design. Toward that end, we regularly welcome nurseries and other vendors into our parks to sell native plants. The next such event will be a Native Plant Sale, from 9AM to noon on Saturday, February 17th, at Anne Kolb Nature Center (751 Sheridan St., Hollywood 33309; 954-357-5161).

There will be other sales at other venues throughout the rest of the year, including Fern Forest Nature Center in Coconut Creek (March 28 and September 19), Secret Woods Nature Center in Dania Beach (May 9th and August 29th), and Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center in Davie (July 25th).
