BROWARD
COUNTY, FL- Broward
County Commissioners will hold the final Fiscal Year 2024 Budget Workshop on
Tuesday, August 29 beginning at 10AM at the Broward Governmental
Center, 115 S. Andrews Ave., Room 430, in Fort Lauderdale.
Discussions
will focus on:
The total recommended Budget for FY24
is $8.6 billion, which includes all tax-supported and non-tax supported funds. Property taxpayers will have no change in their County-levied millage (property) tax rate. Homesteaded properties are
expected to see increases in tax bills of 3% due to the "Save Our Homes"
provision.
The
first public hearing on the proposed FY24 budget takes place on September 7,
2023, and the final public hearing is scheduled for September 19, 2023. The Fiscal Year 2024 goes into effect on
October 1, 2023. Information on the
