BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Residents can save time, avoid long lines and reduce parking congestion traditionally associated with making property tax payments by using the drive-through kiosk. It's located in the parking lot of the Governmental Center Annex, 115 S. Andrews Ave., in Fort Lauderdale. The kiosk will be open from 10AM to 4PM on three different dates this tax payment season: November 25-26, 2014, and March 31, 2015.

This is the fourth year the Records, Taxes and Treasury Division has offered this efficient, time-saving way for residents to pay without having to get out of their car.

To access the kiosk, customers should enter the parking lot from Brickell Avenue on the west side of the Governmental Center and follow the signs into the public parking lot. County staff wearing official shirts and badges will be on hand to collect payments.

In order for tax payments to be accepted at the kiosk, they must be:

• Current 2014 tax payments only – no delinquent tax payments will be accepted.
• Payment in full (no partial payments).
• A properly filled out check from a U.S. Bank in U.S. funds (no cash) – made payable to “Broward County Tax Collector”.
• Accompanied by original tax bill stub (which will be stamped “Received” by the collection agent).

Payments will be processed on the day they are received. Residents can visit this website to verify their payment has posted, and to print a copy of their receipt by entering their property account number.

The Records, Taxes and Treasury Division will continue to accept property tax payments at its offices in the Governmental Center Annex, 115 S. Andrews Ave., Suite A100, Fort Lauderdale, through March 31, 2015. Payments can also be made online and at any Broward County branch of Wells Fargo through March 31, 2015.

Property taxes must be paid no later than March 31, 2015.  A 4 percent discount applies to taxes paid in November; a 3 percent discount applies in December; a 2 percent discount in January and a 1 percent discount in February. All property taxes not paid by March 31, 2015 are delinquent and subject to penalties.
