BROWARD COUNTY, FL -  Destination Fridays - Argentina will embrace the beauty and passion of the tango on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6:30 to 9:30PM at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC), located at 2650 Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, 954-357-6210. Network, meet new friends and enjoy dance, music, food and wine from Argentina at this fun, festive event at one of Broward County's most beautiful libraries.

An evening highlight will be an invitation to tango on the AARLCC stage, with different couples dancing at the same time, a practice that Argentinians call "Milonga."  During the dancing there will be an announcer explaining tango culture, music and styles. Armando Orzuza and Nuria Martinez will also showcase their sizzling moves and offer tango lessons to anyone who wants to learn this exciting, romantic dance form.

There will be an opportunity for wine tasting and instruction, with sangria featured as the signature drink. Refreshments will be provided while supplies last. In the library gallery, the paintings of Alicia Teramo will be featured. Jazzy music will play throughout the lobby and guests are encouraged to dress elegantly for the occasion. Color themes include the colors of the Argentine flag (blue and white stripes with a yellow sun) or dressing to tango in steamy black and red.

"This will be an evening of elegance and sophistication," says Elaina Norlin, Regional Library Manager.

Order your $10 tickets through Eventbrite or pay in cash or by card at the door. This is an after-hours event for ages 21-plus.

Sponsored by the Friends of the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, Argentinian deli.com, Broward Meat and Fish Market, Buenos Aires Bakery & Café, Alday LLC Wines, Che Pibe Restaurant, Club Internacional de Tango Argentino, Post Haste Travel, Tango Axis and dancers Armando Orzuza and Nuria Martinez.
