Roadway Maintenance Project in Coral Springs

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be upgrading Riverside Drive between Atlantic Boulevard and Royal Palm Boulevard in Coral Springs (see attached map). This maintenance-driven Mobility Advancement Program project will focus on constructing missing sidewalks, ADA upgrades, bike lanes and drainage repairs/improvements. The work will begin on June 21, 2021 and conclude by December 2022, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.

During construction, one of two travel lanes in each direction will remain open at all times. Access to businesses along the corridor will remain available. A project information board and variable message signs will be posted to advise affected motorists and pedestrians.

Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division maintains and improves the County's highway/street system, operates drawbridges, and oversees mosquito control operations. The Division is responsible for cleaning and mowing rights-of-way, street patching and resurfacing, intersection improvements, canal maintenance and construction, guardrail maintenance, bridge maintenance, street cleaning, and stormwater drainage improvements.
