BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Highway Construction and Engineering Division will be performing roadway improvements on NW 27th Avenue between Broward Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale (refer to attached map). The project will begin on September 7, 2021 and will conclude in September 2022, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

The NW 27th Avenue Roadway Improvements Project will include:

• New ADA compliant pedestrian crossing signal at NW 8th Street
• Raised medians with irrigation, landscape and decorative hardscape
• Decorative street lighting centered around the NW 6th Street intersection
• Decorative wayfinding signs highlighting local community spaces
• Pavement milling and resurfacing
• New pavement markings and roadway signs
• Bicycle lanes in each direction

During construction, contractor personnel & inspection staff will work closely with residents and businesses in the construction area to minimize impacts caused by the project.
