FLL's Winter Festival of Music Returns for 33rd Year

- Live holiday music to fill the airport after hiatus in 2020 -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - After a hiatus last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is excited to again host its Winter Festival of Music holiday showcase for the 33rd time. With the support of Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), the live holiday music festival will take place Monday, December 6 through Friday, December 10, 2021, from 9AM-Noon daily in select locations around the airport's terminals, concourses, and Rental Car Center.

This year's festival will feature approximately 600 students from 13 Broward County elementary, middle, and high schools in a variety of musical performances throughout the week. The performance lineup includes bands, orchestras, choirs, carolers, and dancers. Troupes of carolers will roam throughout the post-security concourses in Terminals 1 and 4 on select days to entertain travelers and employees with heart-warming and inspiring renditions of favorite holiday songs.

"It is always a pleasure to collaborate with BCPS to bring back what has become a popular FLL annual tradition to give our guests a glimpse of the musical talents of local students while offering travelers some holiday cheer and spirit," said Mark E. Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation. "We hope everyone enjoys this year's festival and wish you the joy of the holiday season as we continue to be kind to all we meet."

As an annual tradition, the Winter Festival of Music celebrates and supports local student musicians in addition to helping make travel less stressful and enjoyable for passengers during the busy holiday season. During the performances, it's a wonderful sight to see travelers stop and participate by singing and dancing with the students. For holiday travelers, it's a treasured FLL moment that is often shared via photos and videos on Twitter and Facebook.
