BROWARD
COUNTY, FL
- The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will start Phase II of
the Oakland Park Bridge and Roadway Improvements project in the City of Sunrise on January 24, 2022. The work, along Oakland Park Blvd. from Hiatus Rd. to 120th Way, is expected to conclude on or before April 2022, barring
any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.
The
purpose of this phase of the project is to replace the curb and resurface the
pavement. During construction, at least one lane in each
direction of Oakland Park Blvd. will be closed to traffic between
the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, with at least one lane remaining open in both
directions. Overnight
pavement resurfacing will occur between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM, with one lane remaining open
in both directions. Access
to businesses and sidewalks will be maintained, and variable
message signs will be posted to warn affected motorists and pedestrians.
