BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward
County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be performing sidewalk and ADA ramp improvements and minor drainage system and pavement repairs along Pine Island Road in Tamarac, between McNab Road and Southgate Boulevard. This work, funded by the gas tax is expected to start on December 5, 2022, and
conclude on June 5, 2023, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather
delays.
During
construction, at least one lane in each direction of Pine Island Road will be
open to traffic; temporary lane closures will be limited to non-peak traffic
hours (9AM to 4PM). Access to business and driveways will be maintained. Variable message signs will be posted to
advise affected motorists and pedestrians.

The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division maintains and improves the County's highway/street system,
operates drawbridges, and oversees mosquito control operations. The Division is
responsible for cleaning and mowing rights-of-way, street patching and
resurfacing, intersection improvements, canal maintenance and construction,
guardrail maintenance, bridge maintenance, street cleaning, and stormwater
drainage improvements.
