WHAT: BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Attention, dog lovers. For a fun and different spring experience, load up your pooch and head over to Easterlin Park in Oakland Park for a Doggie Egg Hunt. The event, for canine enthusiasts ages 18 and up, is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19 and is being held in conjunction with Broward County Animal Care and Adoption, which will be on site with adoptable pets. Other vendors will also participate.

Here’s how it works: 
• An adult 18 or older must accompany each dog at all times.
• Dogs must be leashed and have proof of current rabies vaccination to participate.
• Aggressive dogs, dogs in heat, and dog owners who do not follow event/park rules will be asked to leave.
• Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
• Dogs will participate by weight category: less than 30 pounds and 30 pounds or more.
• Children are welcome as spectators but must be accompanied by adults.

The fee is $5 per dog. The park’s regular weekend gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect.
