“It is an honor to be recognized by the Academy for our work on Take Paws,” said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator, Broward County Animal Care.  “The show is truly a labor of love in our effort to promote our pets so that they can find the homes they deserve.  Additionally, the show helps us provide important outreach and information to current pet owners within our community.”

“We're very proud of the show we've created in cooperation with Broward County Animal Care and Adoption. The information appearing in Take Paws has helped pet owners provide a healthy, happy future for their pets. Most of all, we are proud of the shelter segments in each show and the fact that they are helping to get more pets adopted,” said Mike Moscatello, executive producer of Take Paws.

The Take Paws program is shown through the Broward County public school system and broadcast on Comcast Cable channel 19, DirecTV, Dish Network and AT&T U-verse on channel 63 in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties to more than 5.5 million viewers, and on Broward.org/VideoCentral on demand.
