BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - In an effort to gain community feedback on the benefits of transit and the community’s vision for future transit services, Broward County Transit (BCT) will host “Let’s Talk Transit,” a series of community outreach meetings beginning on Tuesday, June 17, at the South Regional/Broward College Library in Pembroke Pines.

BCT will make presentations updating the public on service improvements accomplished over the last few years. Various dates and locations will be scheduled to provide countywide geographic choices for the community’s participation. The first five community meetings, scheduled in June and July, are listed below.

“Let’s Talk Transit” meetings will be attended by Broward County Transportation Director Chris Walton, Transit Director Tim Garling and transit managers who will provide updates on current and future services. “The goal of these meetings is to have an open dialogue with various members of the community about public transit in Broward County,” Walton said. “We will share information and encourage audience feedback with a question-and-answer segment.”

Subsequent meetings will be held throughout the year and posted on the BCT website.
