BROWARD COUNTY, FL - TAME, one of Ecuador's premiere airlines, has chosen Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to launch new service to Quito, Ecuador. This is the first time TAME has ever operated to Greater Fort Lauderdale with daily nonstop service.

Flights to Quito from Fort Lauderdale will begin on October 17, 2014.

TAME will offer increased connectivity throughout South and Central America with same day connections to more than 15 destinations within Ecuador, and key feeder Latin American markets, to Greater Fort Lauderdale including Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, and Brazil.

An Airbus 320 with 12 seats in TAME's Equinoccio Class and 128 seats in Economy Class will service the new route to Fort Lauderdale from Quito.

"We are extremely excited to launch a new destination into our growing list of international routes arriving into Fort Lauderdale," said Nicki E. Grossman, President of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. "With more than 10,000 Ecuadorians living in Broward County, the new routes provide a perfect, easily accessible option for visiting friends and family."

"We look forward to growing this key Latin American feeder market to Greater Fort Lauderdale and creating an air bridge for both business and leisure travelers to discover all that our destination has to offer," said Fernando Harb, Vice President of Tourism Sales, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.

"Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is pleased to partner with TAME Airlines with new service to this important South American region," according to Kent George, Broward County's Director of Aviation. "TAME has recognized the strong passenger demand between South Florida and Ecuador as well as the lack of nonstop service from Broward County."

TAME Airlines, has been operating since 1962. It is considered, by many, as the number one airline of Ecuador. It provides an excellent national and international air transportation service under the highest standards of safety and environmental care, relying on professional and committed staff. TAME unites all four Ecuadorian regions: the coast, the Andes, the Amazon jungle, and the Galapagos Islands.

For passenger sales and service, hours of operation are Monday - Friday 9AM to 6PM.
