BROWARD COUNTY, FL - It was so nice, we're doing it twice! Broward County Animal Care's "Name Your Own Price" promotion was so successful last month, with almost 600 pets adopted, we're extending the promotion through the entire month of July.
Because of this, from today through Friday, July 31st, residents are invited to "Name Your Price" and pay the amount of their choice to adopt a dog.
Adoption fees for cats and kittens will continue to be waived through the month of July for all cats/kittens adopted at the shelter.
"Even though we were able to adopt so many pets last month, we continue to realize a high influx of pets who are in need of a home," said Lisa Mendheim, Public Education Coordinator, Broward County Animal Care and Adoption. "Since residents seem to enjoy naming their own price for a pet, we're extending the opportunity for adopters to have some fun while giving a second chance and a loving home to a pet in need."
