BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be repairing a pavement failure located in the southwest corner of NW 31st Avenue and Prospect Road in Fort Lauderdale. In an effort to minimize traffic impacts while closing lanes, construction has been scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 26, 2015 and will conclude on or before Monday, October 26, 2015, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to repair a pavement failure over a County-owned drainage structure. Construction activities include: excavating and repairing any damaged portion of the drainage system, and restoring the pavement structure.

PROJECT LIMITS: Southwest corner of intersection of NW 31st Avenue and Prospect Road, in Fort Lauderdale. 

TRAFFIC: 
During construction, impacts to traffic are expected due to permanent closures of thru and turn lanes. 

Impacts to Prospect Road:  
Eastbound through traffic will be temporarily narrowed to one lane.  The outside left turn lane will be modified to serve as the eastbound through lane.
Eastbound right turn lane will be closed.  Right turns will be allowed from through lane. 

Impacts to NW 31st Avenue:
Southbound through traffic will be temporarily narrowed to one lane. Center and outside through lanes will be closed.

Access to all driveways will be maintained. Traffic signal timings will be adjusted to minimize traffic impact.
