BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Recovery Month Broward Planning Committee, a group of private and public health care providers and sponsors, for the 43 plus years that BARC has been serving the most vulnerable citizens across Broward County. The award was presented during the 15th Annual Broward National Recovery Month celebration at Quiet Waters Park, in Deerfield Beach on September 26, 2015. The annual event is dedicated to advancing the public's understanding of addiction and behavioral health issues.

Paul Faulk, Division Director for BARC accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of Broward County and the agency. "I am honored and pleased to accept this award. We look forward to continuing our service to the community and working with our partners to address the challenges of addiction and well-being." Mr. Faulk received an enthusiastic round of applause and shared a rendering of BARC's future Central facility that will be breaking ground on or before 2017.

BARC's mission is to provide treatment for individuals and families leading to a healthy, drug-free life through services that are individual, comprehensive and multidisciplinary without regard to race, religion, nationality or socio-economic status.
