BROWARD COUNTY, FL
- The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be performing bridge repairs on the Southwest 4th Avenue Bridge over the Tarpon River, north of Davie Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.  Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 16, 2015, and will conclude on or before Wednesday, November 25, 2015, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

 

Description: The purpose of this project is to perform a minor rehabilitation of the bridge superstructure.  Construction activities include milling the existing asphalt pavement, rehabilitating the bridge expansion joints, waterproofing the bridge deck, paving, and applying new pavement markings.

 

Project Limits: Southwest 4th Avenue between Davie Boulevard and Southwest 11th Court

 

Traffic:

  • Southwest 4th Avenue will remain open at all times 
  • Traffic may be limited to one lane in each direction Monday - Friday, 9AM - 4 PM, and 8 AM - 7 pm Saturday
  • All through lanes of Davie Boulevard will be open.  At times, motorists will not be able to head north on SW 4th Avenue from Davie Boulevard.  Andrews Avenue, SE 3rd Avenue, and US-1 should be considered as alternates to avoid delays 
  • No work will be performed on Sunday, November 22nd
