WHAT: BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Deerfield Island Park in Deerfield Beach announces a change to its free shuttle service pickup and dropoff location to Pioneer Park, 217 NE Fifth Ave., Deerfield Beach. Deerfield Island Park's normal shuttle service site, the City of Deerfield Beach's Sullivan Park, will be going through an expansion and redevelopment project beginning January 4, 2016. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.

 

Guests who visit Deerfield Island Park can access the park on Saturdays and Sundays by way of a park-operated boat that offers free transportation to the island. The shuttles run at 10AM, noon, and 2PM. All shuttles leave from the dock at Pioneer Park. The last shuttle leaves the island at 3:30PM. Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult to ride the 20-minute shuttle. The shuttle also operates for special events, including nature walks, shelter reservations, group tours, and other park programs.
