BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be repairing pavement failures and damaged sidewalks along Commercial Boulevard, between Pine Island Road and University Drive, in Tamarac and Lauderhill. Construction will begin on Monday, January 18, 2016 and will conclude on or before April 11, 2016, barring unforeseen conditions or weather delays.
DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to repair pavement failures, portions of the drainage system, sidewalk, and curb. Construction activities include: excavating, removing and replacing unsuitable materials, repairing damaged portions of the drainage system, sidewalks and curbs, and restoring the pavement structure.
PROJECT LIMITS: East and westbound Commercial Boulevard between Pine Island Road and University Drive, in Tamarac and Lauderhill.
TRAFFIC: During construction, one of the three through lanes in each direction will be closed. Access will be maintained to all driveways and side streets. We encourage drivers to explore alternative routes.
