BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - Broward County's Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be making improvements to the sidewalks and curb ramps along NW 15th Street between Powerline Road and Dixie Highway starting on February 8, 2016 and ending on April 28, 2016, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

The project entails repairing existing sidewalks, upgrading curb ramps to current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards, as well as adding a missing section of sidewalk at NW 15th Street and Powerline Road (southwest corner). The radii at NW 15th Street and Andrews Avenue will be increased to provide additional area for turning trucks.

Driveway modifications will be necessary, and residential/business access to some driveways may be affected for one or two days. During construction, eastbound and/or westbound traffic will be temporarily restricted to one lane. The construction will not affect the railroad operations.

The Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division project manager for this project is Porfirio Ramos who can be reached at 954-232-1197 (cell) or by email at pramos@broward.org
