Tradewinds Park Offers Two Spring Break Day Camps

WHAT: BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Treat your youngster(s) to a fun, educational day camp this spring break. Tradewinds Park & Stables has two to choose from. Both run from Monday through Thursday, March 21st-24th. The Spring Break Horse Camp runs in full-day sessions, from 8:30AM to 4PM, at a cost of $75 per day. Participants will spend their days riding and learning the basics of horse care and maintenance. Campers will also be involved in traditional camp activities, including horse-themed games and crafts.

 

Junior Farmers' Camp is geared to ages 5 to 8 and is offered in half-day sessions, from 8:30AM to noon and from 12:30 to 4PM. Participants will learn about the barnyard animals that live in the park's farm complex, including how to feed, groom, and maintain the animals. (Animal residents include cows, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, and a miniature donkey.) Campers will also learn to work with ponies and go for pony rides. The fee is $40 per half-day session.

HOW: Fees: $75/day (Horse Camp) and $40/half-day session (Junior Farmers' Camp). Preregistration is required for both camps.
