BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be upgrading the sidewalk ramps and extending the median traffic separator along Sunrise Boulevard at the intersection of NW 114th Avenue in Plantation.

Work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 23, 2016 and will conclude on or before Friday, June 3, 2016, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays.

The purpose of this project is to upgrade the sidewalk ramps to current ADA standards and to extend the median traffic separator.

During construction eastbound and westbound Sunrise Boulevard drivers can anticipate periodic lane closures as required by the work. Two lanes in each direction will remain open at all times, but one lane may be closed in each direction from 9AM to 4PM.

NW 114 Avenue will be open to traffic at all times. Pedestrian traffic along the south side of Sunrise Boulevard will be diverted at NW 118 Avenue to the west and South Hiatus Road to the east. The sidewalk on the north side of Sunrise Blvd will be accessible to pedestrians at all times.

Project Manager  Harry Diaz, P.E. can be reached at 954-577-4631 or 954-931-9067 or hadiaz@broward.org. Or you can call the Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division at 954-357-6045.
